raipur: State Department of Education Wins E-Governance Award | Raipur News

Raipur: Chhattisgarh School Education Department has won the 19th E-Governance Award 2021 from Computer Society of India – Special Interest Group (CSI-SIG) for its implemented tele-practices for assessment and academic follow-up.
This prize was awarded in the “Recognition Category” for the “Tele-practices” that have been set up for school assessment and monitoring of schoolchildren.
The award was jointly received by Dr M Sudhish on behalf of Chhattisgarh Department of Education and Som Shekhar, Senior Technical Director and Lalita Verma, Senior Scientist on behalf of NIC at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Prayagraj.
“Telepractice” was developed by the National Informatics Center (NIC) and implemented by the Department of School Education to eliminate discrepancies in assessment procedures. In this, teachers and students should join a group on Telegram. The teacher places images of questions in the group, the children must answer them without wasting time, and the electronic answer of each child automatically creates a separate video.
After watching these videos, teachers can assess children’s learning and performance. Simultaneously, children can improve their performance through these videos, knowing their mistakes, they can improve their answers for the next time.
The Tele-Practices program is implemented by the State Department of School Education in collaboration with NIC Chhattisgarh.
Various organizations have observed the “Tele-Practices” program and found it useful in helping the teacher to assess student performance.
It was developed under the guidance of NIC Senior Technical Director, Som Shekhar, and its piloting in the state was conducted under the guidance of Dr. M. Sudhish, Deputy Director, Samagra Shiksha.
